For its soft line and its linear hull the DC 18 SL is part of the small category of the "classic" motoryacht having sports features, but at the same time it has the structural qualities of the holiday cruisers.
COCKPIT
In the upper part of each side of the hull there are 5 oval portholes for the lower deck airing and lighting. The big stern platform is able to house the tender, worked by the hydraulic davit.
The wide cockpit, sheltered by the "tail" of the fly which excludes every turbulence also during the fast navigation, offers an excellent habitability.
The transom has one side passage to the platform. Along the whole perimeter of the sides of the DC 18 SL, from the bow to the cockpit, there is a robust and high stanchion, that makes the passenger walk-ways safe.
From the cockpit, a slightly curved staircase leads to the flying bridge, whose wide area, surmounted by the robust roll-bar with the radar equipment and the navigation lights, offers a room with a comfortable L-shaped sofa; the passenger area is separated from the steering position by a cocktail cabinet with ice-space, sink and several surfaces.
The steering position is well protected by an encircling windscreen having a visibility radius of 360°, and the long sofa is comfortable for several people.
INTERIORS AND LOWER DECK
The saloon offers a room typical of bigger yachts. The large entrance of the cockpit opens onto two opposite L-shaped sofas. By the side of the steering position there is another L-shaped sofa with table and at the back of the pilot's seat, on the right, we find the kitchen area, well equipped with burners, sink, fridge and spaces organized as storeroom.
The steering position has a step structure; the steering wheel is inserted in the vertical part, while switches and controls are in the horizontal one. Two horizontal instrument panels house every instrument necessary for a "projectable" navigation. All the coverings of the saloon, steering surface included, are made of precious timber.
The shipowner will find an atmosphere of luxury and relax in his cabin, equipped with double bed, wardrobe and large drawers. Of the three guest cabins, two have double bed (one has high-standard furniture, the other one is a little more "Spartan"), while the third one has two single beds and practical but comfortable furniture. There is a cabin with inside bathroom for the crew. The furnishing materials as well as the lighting and airing systems are on unexceptionable levels.
The DC 18 SL confirms the characteristics of seaworthiness and reliability and assures a perfect compromise between performances, navigation comfort and safety also in critical weather conditions.
